At first glance, these may seem like two separate worlds, but for me they are deeply connected.
With over 35 years of experience as a custom cabinet carpenter, I’ve learned the art of transforming raw materials into functional, beautiful pieces through precision, creativity, and problem-solving. Wood teaches patience, respect for process, and an appreciation for how time enhances character.
Those same principles drew me to whiskey. As a Level II Whiskey/Bourbon Sommelier with 3+ years of experience, I studied how oak, time, and craftsmanship shape flavor and complexity.
Whether I’m shaping fine cabinetry or evaluating a bourbon aged in charred oak, my passion lies in honoring materials, mastering technique, and celebrating the quiet dialogue between wood, time, and human skill.
